About Acupuncture
Acupuncture is done by inserting very fine needles in specific points on the body to influence the Qi (Energy) in properly flowing, re-establishing the body's rhythm with it's natural cycles and the cycles of nature. It is safe and works well in cooperation with other medical care. Acupuncture is a form of medicine originating from Asia and over 2000 years old. The Chinese observed that the universe is two polarities of Yin and Yang and of Five Elements: Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood. They also observed that human beings are a microcosm, or a reflection of nature, and have both the polarities and the elements with in them. Illness or disease happens when all or one of the elements are weak or out of balance causing the energy (Qi or Life Force) not to flow properly.
By stimulating chemicals such as endorphins and serotonin to be released by the brain, acupuncture can help control and relieve pain. Acupuncture has also been shown to support the immune system, increase white blood cell counts, improve endocrine function, relax muscles, regulate the intestinal tract, reduce inflammation, improve local blood flow and speed healing.
What are the benefits of Acupuncture?

2. Rarely side effects
3. Relatively inexpensive
4. How Does Classical Five Element Acupuncture Differ from Other Systems of Acupuncture
Classical Five-Element Acupuncture is a complete system of healing, providing patients with a substantive and effective means of regaining balance on all levels. It is one of the safest, most comprehensive and far reaching systems of medicine in the world.
Classical Five-Element Acupuncture is set apart from other systems of acupuncture by its fundamental premise of diagnosing and treating a patient's Causative Factor: his/her root imbalance. The Causative Factor is assessed by way of objective information provided by the body itself. Each of the elements has a corresponding color, sound, emotion, and odor, which can be perceived when a particular element is out of balance.
While it is relatively simple to memorize these associations, developing the skills to truly see, hear, feel, and smell these imbalances requires focused study, practice, and skilled guidance. Accurate diagnosis and treatment of the Causative Factor is the key to Classical Five-Element Acupuncture. In addition, this elegant system recognizes that the health of each individual's body, mind, and spirit must be taken into account to fully understand and treat the cause of disease. Thus, no two patients are ever treated the same. Each symptom is seen as a distress signal of the underlying disease. When the cause of the disease is treated, the symptoms will start to disappear.
"Acupuncture does not cure, balance does. We never treat a disease, we treat you." unknown
