Becky La Plante, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac, M.T.O.M.
In her private practice in Avon and Granby Connecticut, Becky merges the mind, body, and spirit healing arts of Classical Five Element Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with Niasziih Healing. Depending on each patient's needs, she will use other modalities such as moxibustion, medical qi gong, herbal medicine, acupressure, E-Stimulation, TDP mineral lamp therapy, gua sha, cupping, Reiki and sound healing.
Becky's goal is to work as a partner with her patients and to assist them in finding the tools to both heal and maintain the healing of themselves. She will use acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to influence the Qi (Energy) in properly flowing, removing blockages and re-establishing the body's rhythm with it's natural cycles and the cycles of nature along with breathing, guided meditation, homework and the various healing modalities mentioned above to help with this process.
During the treatments, she will help them to find awareness of their body in the present moment, and to acknowledge and witness how their feelings, thoughts, beliefs and patterns have a connection to their body and may be contributing to their disease and physical illness. Sometimes physical pain and illness is just a physical problem, but being open to addressing your healing in a holistic, bio-psycho-social way (addressing the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the symptoms of a disease) can quicken the healing process. True healing requires choice, action, and a shift in perspective and lifestyle.

we are at once part of nature and nature is part of us.” -Stalking Wolf
About Acupuncture
"Acupuncture does not cure, balance does. We never treat a disease, we treat you." unknown
Acupuncture is done by inserting very fine needles in specific points on the body to influence the Qi (Energy) in properly flowing, re-establishing the body's rhythm with it's natural cycles and the cycles of nature. It is safe and works well in cooperation with other medical care. Acupuncture is a form of medicine originating from Asia and over 2000 years old. The Chinese observed that the universe is two polarities of Yin and Yang and of Five Elements: Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood. They also observed that human beings are a microcosm, or a reflection of nature, and have both the polarities and the elements with in them. Illness or disease happens when all or one of the elements are weak or out of balance causing the energy (Qi or Life Force) not to flow properly.

About Niasziih Healing
Niasziih (pronounced Nia-Z-I) is a holistic, nature based body, mind, and spirit healing modality. Niasziih roughly translates as "vessel of healing" and combines the concepts of "oneness" and "fusion of flesh and spirit".
Niasziih has been recently named, but was an art form and way of life and healing practiced by the elder, scout, shaman and holy man, Stalking Wolf, who passed along his knowledge from his Lipin Apache lineage to other healers.
I practice Niasziih healing both by itself and along with acupuncture and acupressure. The healing looks very similar to hands on Reiki or acupressure and Qi Gong, finding and helping you remove and heal old emotional and spiritual block, beliefs, images, and patterns in your body and mind. This looks like me curious and asking questions and following tracks that lead us to the areas called to be healed. These blocks cause physical disease according to this philosophy.
Niasziih is a philosophy of choice that helps to heal the wounds that affect our body, mind, and spirit and while mining them for their potential gems and gifts. Our job as a healer is to help people them help themselves to change their perspective so they can shift and heal themselves by making new choices. Niasziih is aimed at bringing balance and awareness to patterns and belief structures that keep us from living life to it's fullest in peace, love, joy and purpose.
One of our greatest goals is help them to choose a powerful story for their lives and then to aid and facilitate their journey of building bridges from their current reality into a newly discovered story.
